STO announces Maldives Gas cooking cylinders are now available

State Trading Organization (STO) has announced that cooking gas supplies have now been stabilized, following a period of silence during which the public expressed growing frustration over widespread shortages from Maldives Gas.
While Maldives Gas, a subsidiary of STO, has faced a shortage of 10kg gas cylinders for several days, rumors have surfaced suggesting that the company is currently sourcing gas from a private supplier to maintain its sales.
STO has confirmed to the state media, PSM, that it has resumed the sale of 10kg gas cylinders as of Tuesday, returning to its previous distribution standards.
Quoting STO, PSM reported that Maldives Gas has been supplying 7kg cylinders at discounted rates as a substitute for the 10kg gas cylinders. STO further assured that gas supplies will remain available without any interruptions moving forward.
