MDP ends protest after PSM leadership agrees to meeting schedule
PSM is accused of broadcasting programs that align with the government's stance on the referendum to synchronize presidential and parliamentary elections, actively encouraging the public to vote in favor of the proposal. The state broadcaster has failed to provide any information regarding the arguments against the move or air any content explaining the reasons for opposing the change.

The MDP has concluded its protest after PSM officials agreed to a meeting time.
Shakeeb, who was recently appointed as the Managing Director of PSM, is currently away on the Umrah pilgrimage. The MDP members demanded a meeting with the management and refused to leave the PSM reception area. Subsequently, police were called to the scene and attempted to forcibly remove them from the premises.
However, following opposition and protests from the MDP, PSM has announced that it will meet with the party on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. PSM did not specify which officials would be attending the meeting.
