Mayor Athif made these remarks in a video message shared on social media following the conclusion of a door-to-door campaign in the Kulhudhuffushi North-Central constituency to listen to the concerns of the city's residents. In his message, the Mayor highlighted that the public is deeply dissatisfied as the government has failed to initiate any development projects in the city over the past two years.
Mayor Athif stated that residents have expressed significant concerns over the skyrocketing cost of living and difficulties in accessing essential medicines. However, he noted that the primary grievances involve the two-year suspension of housing projects in the city and the ongoing deterioration of the healthcare system.
