As part of the signing ceremony after BuildTEK secured a landmark deal with Tuzhi Casa
A significant business agreement has been finalized between Tuzhi Casa, a well-known furniture manufacturing company from China, and BuildTEK, a leading subsidiary of the Colorland Group specializing in home construction.
The agreement was signed during a ceremony held on Tuesday morning. Signing on behalf of their respective companies were Frank Zheng, CEO of Tuzhi Casa, and Ali Fayaaz, Director of BuildTEK Private Limited.
Tuzhi Casa’s CEO, Frank Zeng, noted that this partnership with BuildTEK will allow Tuzhi Casa to produce its diverse designs in sizes suited to the Maldivian market. He stated that introducing Tuzhi Casa’s quality services to the Maldives and making them accessible to Maldivians will bring a positive shift to the local market.
Many Maldivians are unable to travel to China to explore design options, and most designs available domestically are fixed. Through this agreement, BuildTEK aims to open access to high-quality products for Maldivians, particularly appealing to newly constructed homes and flats.
Ali Fayaaz, the Director representing BuildTEK in the signing, highlighted that Maldivians often live in very small rooms, where standard wardrobes occupy most of the available space. He emphasized the need for custom-designed furniture, including cupboards and cabinetry tailored to each room, and noted that the agreement enables these designs to be brought directly from China at affordable prices.

We live in very small rooms. When you bring a standard wardrobe into these spaces, the room gets filled. So, custom-designed furniture is needed. We need cupboards of sizes appropriate for each room. We need good quality cabinetry at a reasonable price. BuildTEK stated that this agreement will support the delivery of customized designs requested by Maldivians directly from Tuzhi Casa’s factories in Foshan, China. It will also enable high-quality, customizable furniture and related items to be supplied to the Maldives according to customer preferences.

Additionally, offering flexible financing options and making these services available at affordable prices will provide further convenience to customers. The agreement will also make it possible to obtain interior finishing and all necessary furniture from a single source once a house is constructed.
