Bank of Maldives (BML) has expanded its self-service banking network in Haa Dhaal atoll with the installation of new ATMs on four additional islands, as part of its ongoing “Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM” initiative aimed at increasing nationwide financial accessibility.

The new ATMs have been unveiled in Hanimaadhoo, Naivaadhoo, Nellaidhoo, and Nolhivaram, enhancing access to essential banking services for residents across the atoll.

Inauguration ceremonies were held on the respective islands, attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, government ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, and other senior officials from the Bank.

Speaking at the launch, BML CEO and MD Mohamed Shareef emphasized the importance of self-service ATMs in promoting financial inclusion.

ATMs play a crucial role in bringing customers into the formal banking system, so it’s a proud moment not just for the Bank, but for the communities of these islands, as we continue to bring banking closer to customers and enable easier access to financial services wherever they live.”
