BML partners with CA Maldives to boost accounting and finance sector in Maldives

Bank of Maldives (BML) has formalized a partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening the country’s accounting and auditing profession.

The collaboration will focus on knowledge-sharing, regulatory enhancement, and capacity building to raise professional standards within the sector. Under the agreement, both institutions will work closely to develop skills, promote best practices, and contribute to the sustainable growth of the Maldivian financial sector.

BML’s CEO and Managing Director, Mohamed Shareef, highlighted the significance of the partnership, highlighting that they aim to build capacity and promote best practices by working in close collaboration with CA Maldives.

Last year, BML and CA Maldives collaborated on the Maldives Accountants Forum (MAF), a platform designed to facilitate networking, knowledge exchange, and engagement among accounting professionals and industry stakeholders.
