President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has given priority to Mohamed Imthinan Saudhulla, son of the main ruling People’s National Congress (PNC)’s North Thinadhoo constituency MP Saudhulla Hilmy, among those who applied for the opportunity to join the board of Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).
In a letter sent to the People’s Majlis, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stated that as the term of four board members of MIRA expires on 31 August 2025, in accordance with Article 4 (e) (2) of the Tax Administration Act, a public announcement was made to appoint four members to MIRA’s board. He noted that he is sending the names and information of those who responded to this call, along with his order of preference.
In the president's order of preference, Mohamed Imthinan Saudhulla, son of PNC's North Thinadhoo constituency MP Saudhulla Hilmy, is ranked first. Ismail Hamdoon of H. Sitaaraavaadhi is second. Aishath Shazra of GDh. Gadhdhoo / Nivaidhozhuge is third. And Idham Hussain of M. Javaahiruvaadhi is fourth.
In addition, the list includes Umar Ahmed Hussain of M. Suhra, Mohamed Ahmed of Registry No. RS 5204, Mumtaz Abdur Rasheed of HDh. Hanimaadhoo / Muringu, and Mariyam Juwairiyya of S. Meedhoo / Uigasdhozhuge.
