Three officers from the Maldives Police Service (MPS) are receiving medical treatment after assisting in efforts to control the fire at the Ensis warehouse.
On Friday, police reported that three officers stationed in Hulhumalé were hospitalized after being affected by smoke while responding to the fire that broke out Thursday evening. The officers have been receiving treatment since Thursday night.
Police noted that the condition of the affected officers has since improved.
The fire was reported at approximately 6:48pm on Thursday and is believed to have originated on the fourth floor of the Ensis warehouse.
It was brought under control after several hours of firefighting efforts.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and details regarding the extent of the damage have not yet been disclosed.
