Shaheer appointed HDC Chairman

A new Chairman has been appointed to the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).

Ahmed Shaheer was appointed as the new Chairman of HDC on Thursday.

Taking to social media platform ‘X’ on Thursday, the Privatization and Corporatization Board of Maldives (PCB) revealed that Shaheer has been appointed as the Chairman of HDC.

The newly appointed HDC Chairman earlier held the position of Chairman of Fenaka Corporation. He was appointed the Chairman of Fenaka during 2024. However, he was dismissed from the position.

Shaheer is among the most dedicated employees of the State Trading Organization (STO), the government's largest business company. He has held many positions in STO.

As such, during former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s administration, Shaheer also held the position of Managing Director of STO.
