The government has revealed that this time, in connection with Eid-al-Adha, no additional days will be declared as holidays apart from those already marked on the calendar.
Taking to social media platform ‘X’, Chief Spokesperson at the President’s Office, Heena Waleed highlighted that since the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has determined that this year's Hajj day falls on Thursday, June 5, the holidays in connection with Hajj day and Eid-al-Adha will only be the days that have already been designated as holidays on the calendar.
Therefore, as per the calendar, government offices will open on Tuesday, June 10.
In connection with Hajj Day and Eid-al-Adha, government offices will remain closed from June 5 to 9, marking a five-day holiday period. Traditionally, when Eid falls mid-week, the government extends the holiday to cover the full week. However, this year’s break is notably shorter, making it the briefest Eid holiday observed in recent years.
