It has been revealed that Raud Ahmed Zilaal, who was with Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed, 21, who fell from H. Fentenoy, was arrested under a court order for “having a hand” in Yumnu’s “fall”.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, a reliable source revealed that Raud was arrested for being intoxicated at the time of the incident, his involvement in Yumnu's fall, and under allegations of sexual abuse.
However, in the first press conference held by the Maldives Police Service (MPS) in connection with the matter, they stated that there was no information about any other person or group's involvement in the 21-year-old’s fall, and it was believed that Yumnu “fell on her own”.
In connection with the case of a woman falling onto the roof of H. Mithaaz on April 18, Raud Ahmed Zilaal, 21, was arrested under a court order at 06:20pm on April 24.
In addition to this, the phones of a total of seven suspects including Raud and the 21-year-old woman who fell, have been confiscated under a court order.
In connection with the case, the terrace of Maandhooge Dhekunuge, the second and fourth floors, as well as the third floor of Kashiveli were searched. The police institution has not disclosed whether anything was taken into police custody during the raid operation.
Yumnu was found on the morning of April 18, injured beyond recognition, atop a roof adjacent to Fentenoy.
