5 days since young woman went missing in Malé, police continue search
Anyone with any information about Hawwa Hassan’s whereabouts has been urged to reach out to the Maafannu Police Investigation

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has stated that they have begun searching for a young woman who has gone missing from the congested capital, Malé City.
The police said that they are working to locate a woman reported missing from Malé, and that they are searching for Hawwa Hassan, 31, H. Blueloon / Malé.
The police stated that Hawwa Hassan's family reported her missing to the police on 8 March 2025, after she left home and there was no news of her whereabouts.
Further, the police institution revealed that upon receiving the report, information was shared with all relevant police departments to search for her. Despite ongoing search efforts, no information about her has been obtained so far.
The police institution has urged anyone with any information about Hawwa Hassan’s whereabouts to reach out to the Maafannu Police Investigation through 9660183 without delay and share any details that could be useful in the investigation.
