The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has dismissed Ahmed Zuhoor from his position as the Chairman of their Normalizing Committee.

The international football governing body FIFA decided to normalize Maldivian football last year.

A five-member Normalizing Committee was put together and entrusted with football-related matters.

The five members appointed by FIFA to the Normalizing Committee were Zuhoor, former Prosecutor General (PG) Ahmed Muizz, Ismail Siman, Fareeha Shareef, and Ahmed Ali. Zuhoor was appointed as the chairman of the committee.

However, FIFA has decided to remove Zuhoor from the position of Chairman of FAM's Normalizing Committee.

RaajjeMV understands that FIFA made this decision because the Normalizing Committee's work was not progressing at an appropriate level and in the best manner. In addition to Zuhoor, FIFA has also removed Ahmed Ali from the committee.

As a result, the committee now has three members. They are Muizz, Siman, and Fareeha. FIFA has appointed Muizz as the new Chairman of the Normalizing Committee.

One of the main tasks assigned by FIFA to FAM's Normalizing Committee is to put FAM back on track, conduct its elections, and handle other football-related matters. While the normalization period is set for one year, the committee has been assigned significant responsibilities.
