The Maldives Broadcasting Commission has begun investigating the issue of the song composed by privately run television station RaajjeTV for the special coverage of the main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s ‘Fudhijje-Fundijje!’ campaign.

A letter sent by Broadcom to RaajjeTV, states that after reviewing the content of the song broadcast by RaajjeTV on January 26, they have decided to investigate the matter.

Broadcom has also requested that the content be preserved until a decision is made regarding the case.

According to the letter sent by Broadcom to RaajjeTV, the song issue was submitted to the commission on February 2.

Although the case was submitted to the commission on February 2, the letter sent by Broadcom does not indicate who submitted the case.

This comes at a time Broadcom had also sent a letter to RaajjeTV on January 26, appealing for attention to broadcasting standards and guidelines.
