The game between B. Kendhoo and K. Maafushi has ended in a draw, in the ongoing 90 Plus Gold Cup football tournament.
Maafushi and Kendhoo in Group D of the tournament went head-to-head at the Galolhu National Stadium on Saturday evening.
The match ended in a 1 – 1 draw.
Kendhoo was the first to score and take the lead in the match. However, Maafushi managed to catch up from behind, scoring a goal and equalizing the score.
In the first half of the match, Gasim Sammam scored the goal that gave Kendhoo the lead. This was a goal he scored by heading the ball into the net from a corner kick awarded to Kendhoo.
While Kendhoo, playing with the lead, had more opportunities to score in the match, Maafushi also had chances to score.
With little time left before the full time of the match, Ali Uzair Mohamed equalized the match result for Maafushi. This was a goal he scored by successfully converting a penalty awarded to the team.
With this result, Kendhoo is in fourth place in Group D with one point from the two matches played so far. Maafushi, in third place having played the same number of matches, also has only one point.
