Indian National Team Captain Sunil Chhetri has ended Maziya Sports and Recreation Club’s hopes of reaching the second round of the AFC Cup as champions of the Group.

Chhetri’s Bengaluru FC won Wednesday’s match with a score of 1-0. This is the third consecutive time Bengaluru FC had won against Maziya.

Maziya had played well in the first half of the match, controlling the game. Maziya had the chance to score in the 17th minute of the game.

Bengaluru FC changed their game play in the second half of the match. Chhetri scored in the 57th minute of the match.

Maziya had the opportunity to score in the second half, but failed to convert it into a real opportunity.

Maziya had won four of the six matches of the group stage, having been defeated in the two games by Bengaluru FC. Bengaluru FC leads the table on a head to head basis but Maziya has the goal advantage.
