TC and Maziya draws in STO Malé League match

TC Sports Club and Maziya Sports and Recreation have come to a draw in their match of the STO Malé League, with a score of 2-2.

In the match Maziya had played to reduce the difference between points with New Radiant Sports Club, which is at the lead of the league. 

Maziya was driven to beat TC in this match having been beaten by the club in the past five matches the teams competed in.

TC's midfielder Yameen 'Yambe' Ibrahim and foreign defender Alaaeldin Nasr Elmagraby had not played in the match due to their suspension, and Maziya's Ismail 'Messi' Eesa had also abstained from the match due to injuries.

The first match saw equal opportunities for both teams to score. Maziya had taken the lead with Ahmed 'Aakko' Imaz's opening goal from a free header in the twenty ninth minute of the game. TC had not progressed in the first half of the match as Cornelius Ezekiel Stewart -former TC player- doubled Maziya's score in the 65th minute.

TC had caught up by scoring their opener in a penalty after two minutes into the second goal by Maziya. This first goal was scored by foreign player Vlasichev Anatolli. The equalizer was scored by TC;s susbitute player Ahmed 'Aaree' Arif mere seconds before the final whistle ending the game.

While New Radiant Sports Club (NRSC) is leading the scoreboard with 22 points scored in the nine matches played in the league thus far, Maziya comes second with 17 points and TC Sports is on the fourth position with 15 points.

Maziya will face Club Eagles and TC will face Club Valencia in the league's next matches.
