Fuvahmulah is off to a good start in the Ninety Plus Gold Cup with a win in their Group A match against Kudahuvadhoo.
The match was played at the Galolhu National Stadium on Wednesday night.
Fuvahmulah secured a 3 – 1 victory in the match.
During the game, Fuvahmulah took the lead by scoring a goal, but Kudahuvadhoo managed to equalize.
Fuvahmulah went on to score two more goals to win the game.
Fuvahmulah's foreign player Kofi Owusu took the lead for the team in the first half of the match.
Kudahuvadhoo equalized with a goal scored by Ahmed Muadh in the second half.
Kudahuvadhoo faced their biggest setback when two players were given red cards. Ahmed Rilwan received the first, followed by Mohamed Saif.
After that, Fuvahmulah scored two more goals.
Ali Shamaal Abdulla expanded the lead for the winning team, scoring just a minute before the end of regular time. Moosa Azeem Hassan scored Fuvahmulah's third goal during added time.
