Indian Ambassador to the Maldives Akhilesh Mishra has advised Indians living in the Maldives not to abuse the hospitality extended to them by the Maldivians.
Speaking in the event held in capital City Male’ to mark the 70th Independence Day of India, Mishra said the ties between the Maldives and India were close knit and focus should be on maintaining them.
He advised Indians living in the Maldives not abuse the hospitality extended to them. He added that the Embassy will always focus on strengthening the existing relationships.
Indians and Maldivians attended the event held in the Indian Embassy.
