The ‘Rakkaa Road Show 2024’ has commenced in Fuvahmulah City.

An initiative of the Maldives Police Service (MPS)’s Road Safety Awareness and Prevention, Sheesha Honda Maldives, and Allied Insurance Company, ‘Rakkaa Road Show 2024’ commenced in Fuvahmulah City on Tuesday.

According to the police institution, this initiative features multiple different activities aimed at raising public awareness about road safety and security.

The event is scheduled to proceed through August 18.

It includes programs like School Traffic Monitors Program and awareness sessions for school students, parents, government institutions, companies, and associations.

Information is being provided on road safety and security as part of the programme.

Further, MPS revealed that flyers will be distributed as part of the event and officers will hold a road safety walk titled ‘Fahiraasthaa’.

In addition to this, billboard displays, a children’s evening and a volleyball tournament has also been scheduled.

Organizers of the event have expressed their sincere gratitude for the assistance provided by Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), the country’s national airline Maldivian, police officers stationed in Fuvahmulah City, the city council, as well as the city’s Women’s Development Committee (WDC), schools, government institutions, Obion, and Playkids to successfully carry out the programme.
