Maldivian has announced a special promotion for travelers attending the Ooredoo Fun Run in Laamu.
The national airline of Maldives is the travel partner of this year’s Ooredoo Fun Run in Laamu.
In a publication on Thursday, Ooredoo revealed that travelers will be entitled to a special return airfare of MVR 2,488 for the route from Malé to Kadhdhoo, if they have registered for the event.
Ooredoo revealed that this offer paves the path for more people to join the fun.
The telecommunications giant reopened registrations for their Laamu Fun Run event due to popular demand and registrations closed on Thursday.
Being held in Gan island of Laamu atoll, the much-anticipated Ooredoo Fun Run, previously and more commonly known as the celebrated Ooredoo Color Run event will kick off on 5 July 2024.
Maldivian is offering exclusive fares as the travel partner of the exciting community event, from July 4 – 5 from Malé to Kadhdhoo and from July 6 – 7 from Kadhdhoo to Malé.
Participants who have registered for the event may send their booking requests viaemailand are required to submit their Order ID and type in 'Ooredoo Fun Run Laamu' as the email subject.
Managing Director of Maldivian Ibrahim Iyas stated that they are thrilled to support the event with this special offer to help more people experience the event.
He added that the event is a perfect blend of promoting health and wellness, while showcasing Laamu Atoll’s natural beauty and added that Maldivian wishes to ensure that more people have the opportunity to be a part of it.
Managing Director and CEO of Ooredoo, Khalid al-Hamadi expressed delight in the partnership and stated that the event is a celebration of health, wellness and togetherness set against the stunning backdrop of Laamu atoll.
Expressing belief that the special airfare offer will enable more participants to join the fun, he stated that he looks forward to welcome everyone for an unforgettable experience.
Fun Run kits have been made available in two categories; standard kits and fun kits. The latter comes at a price of MVR 200 and provides Fun Run t-shirts, wrist bands, tote bags, multi-purpose bandanas and shades.
The standard kits include Fun Run t-shirts and wrist bands and are priced at MVR 100 each.
Enthusiastic runners of all ages are welcome to book their slots in the five-kilometer Fun Run, which promises several fun activities for participants.
The event welcomes both new and experienced runners to join in the excitement.
The event carries the purpose of encouraging healthy lifestyles and showing how enjoyable and fun running is. The organizer promises the event to be fun and worthwhile, even for beginners. For a splash of fun colors, each kilometer is separated with a “color station”, water and fun obstacles and every participant can finish the race at their desired pace, as it is not a timed race.
The event aims to promote running as a gateway to healthy living, and thousands from different age groups can participate to either run, jog or walk the five kilometers and have their efforts celebrated in style with a foam party, finisher medals and a music show.
Ooredoo Maldives has invited enthusiastic runners and professionals as well as members of the general public to join the event to soak in an amazing time with friends and family.
The previous fun runs hosted by Ooredoo were a massive success and received immense public praise.
As it is an untimed run, participants can take their time and enjoy the journey. Anyone above the age six years old can officially register. The run will include fun elements such as colors, obstacles as well as water.
