A man has been publicly summoned in connection with an ongoing probe.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Tuesday publicized the summons notice for a man, wanted in connection with an ongoing probe.

MPS revealed that the case is being investigated by the police station in Funadhoo island of Shaviyani atoll.

The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.

The police institution revealed that the summons notice was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate the suspect and handover his summons notice, have been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track him down.

Summoned is Ahmed Hussain, 48 and native to Funadhoo island of Shaviyani atoll.

He is summoned for questioning in connection with the ongoing probe.

The suspect is to present himself to the Funadhoo Police Station or the police station closest to him at 10am on July 1.
