Police locating suspect wanted for drug abuse

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) is locating a suspect wanted in connection with an ongoing case.
In a publication on Sunday, the police institution revealed that the suspect is wanted in connection with a case filed at the Criminal Court.
Being located in connection with the case is Yumna Abdul Razzaq, 38 and native to capital Malé City.
The court ordered MPS to locate the woman, take her into police custody and present her before court.
The publication was issued as the authorities’ efforts to locate the suspect and present her before court have been to no avail so far.
Yumna is accused of using Diamorphine.
She is to be taken into police custody and presented before Criminal Court at 11:30am on June 11.
The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Custodial Department through 9991442 if any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
