A summons notice has been publicized for an individual wanted in connection with an ongoing probe.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the case is being investigated by the police station in Ihavandhoo island of Haa Alif atoll.
In a publication on Monday, the police institution revealed that the summons notice was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate the suspect and handover her summons notice have been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track her down.
The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.
The woman wanted in connection with the probe is allegedly involved in a case of fraud.
Summoned is Fathimath Yusra, 36 and native to Maalhos island in Alif Alif atoll.
Police revealed that the suspect is summoned for questioning regarding the case.
The suspect is to present herself to the Sergeant Adam Haleem Crime Investigation Building or the police station closest to him at 2pm on June 3.
