Police locating man wanted to be presented before court
He is accused of exercising undue power over someone else’s property
Authorities’ efforts to present him to court have been to no avail so far

An individual wanted to be presented before court, is being located.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the man is wanted to be presented before court in connection with a case filed at the magistrate court in Kurendhoo island of Lhaviyani atoll.

The court ordered the police institution to locate the man and take him into police custody before presenting him to court.

Being located is Mohamed Ahmed, 39 and native to Kurendhoo island of Lhaviyani atoll.

He is accused of exercising undue power over someone else’s property.

Authorities’ efforts to present him to court have been to no avail so far.

The man is to be presented before the Kurendhoo Magistrate Court at 01:30pm on May 15.

The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Custodial Department through 9991442 if any information on the whereabouts of the suspect is attained.

The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude for the immense public support and assistance extended in such cases.
