A summons notice has been publicized for an individual wanted in connection with a drug case.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the summons was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate the suspect and handover his summons notice have been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track him down.
The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.
The police institution revealed that the case is being investigated by the Hulhumalé Phase I Police Station.
Summoned is Ibrahim Rasheed, 36 and native to Baarah island of Haa Alif atoll.
Police revealed that the suspect is being summoned for questioning regarding the case.
The man is to present himself to the Hulhumalé Phase I Police Station or the police station closest to him at 10am on May 20.
