Probe launched into threats against RaajjeTV, Channel 13

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a probe into the threats made to media houses, RaajjeTV and Channel 13.
In a post on social media platform ‘X’, the police institution revealed that cases of some media houses in the Maldives being threatened have been brought to their attention, with which an investigation has been launched.
MPS added that cases where people, places and property, especially human life and media are threatened will be taken up as serious cases by the authorities and that they would investigate them with a special priority.
The police institution added that their Cyber Crime Department and their Serious and Organized Crime Department are doing the needful to investigate these cases, and to take legal action against the perpetrators.
