Ooredoo Nation has commenced its EAFC Maldives Championship Contender Series 1.
The games kicked off at the Ooredoo Headquarters in Hulhumalé on April 18.
Ooredoo Chief Technology Officer Malkhan Singh Tanwar and Director of Operations Shabeen Ali competed in the opening game, to kick off the tournament.
The contender series 1 will continue over the course of three days.
The final match will be played in round robin style, with three players competing for the coveted first prize.
The EAFC Maldives Championship Contender Series 1 promises a prize pool of MVR 15,000, with MVR 8,000 promised to the first-place winner, MVR 4,500 to the second-place winner and MVR 2,500 for the third-place winner.
Ooredoo revealed that the stage is set for a thrilling showdown with this tournament being the first of many to come in 2024 and that they have an exciting year planned, as the preferred network of gamers.
The telecommunications provider revealed that this year, they are also on the hunt for the “ultimate” player and to win it, gamers will have to excel at all three-game series.
