The digital game, which features real teams competing in Mas Race 2025, will remain accessible until 11:59pm on 3 September 2025. Simple yet engaging, the gameplay invites users to select their favorite team, tap to catch fish, and accumulate points. Each catch earns one point, with cumulative scores determining leaderboard rankings throughout the competition period.
To incentivize participation, Ooredoo Maldives has partnered with Hai Fishing Tackles, the country’s leading fishing tackle retailer, to offer premium gear as prizes for the top performers:
The telecommunications giant revealed that the initiative brings the spirit of Mas Race beyond the ocean and into the hands of every fishing enthusiast, and that it is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to create digital experiences that celebrate local traditions, culture, and the nation’s deep-rooted connection with fishing.
Hai Fishing Tackles continues to set the standard in the Maldives’ recreational fishing market by offering premium products from global brands such as Daiwa, Penn, Abu Garcia, Yo-Zuri, Zenaq, Jigging Master, Okuma, and Pioneer. The retailer’s in-house brand, Rankaru, has rapidly gained popularity among local anglers for its quality and reliability. A forthcoming Rankaru e-catalog is also set to provide a comprehensive overview of available gear for enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Fishing enthusiasts are encouraged to join the digital Mas Race, represent their chosen teams, and compete for top honors on the leaderboard, all through the Ooredoo App.
