The girl who went missing
A teenager who was reported missing from Hulhumalé, has been found.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that reported missing was Aishath Zeeva Saeed, 13 and native to Inguraidhoo island of Raa atoll.
The police institution revealed that she was reported missing by her family a little after sundown on Monday.
Zeeva was found in capital Malé City at around 12:15pm on Tuesday.
MPS revealed that she was found safe and in good health.
The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude for the immense support and assistance extended by the public in such cases.
This was among the few cases of missing adults and children reported to authorities in the capital region as well as outlying atolls.
Police have sought help from the public in such cases, in the past.
