A man critically injured in an accident that took place in Fuvahmulah City, has been transferred to capital Malé City for further treatment.
The dangerous road accident took place on Monday night.
The accident occurred when a motorcycle collided into a zebra cross post in the southern city of Fuvahmulah.
Injured in the crash was a 32-year-old Maldivian man.
His condition is to have worsened and he was brought to the capital city for further treatment, in the early hours of Tuesday.
The accident was reported to the Maldives Police Service (MPS) at around 11:43pm on Monday.
Further details of the extent of the victim’s injuries, have not been disclosed by the authorities.
