Laamu Kahdhoo Airport

A man was arrested in Laamu Kahdhoo airport on Saturday, after claiming to be carrying a bomb inside his bag.

RaajjeMV understands that the man was arrested on Saturday evening, after he was heard saying that he was carrying a bomb inside his bag while at the boarding gate at the airport.

Media officer at the Maldives Police Service has also confirmed the arrest to RaajjeMV.

The officer stated that the individual was arrested for inciting fear.
