The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has begun probing cases linked to the fast-approaching parliamentary elections 2024.

RaajjeMV understands 10 cases linked to the People’s Majlis polls have been submitted with the anti-corruption watchdog.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, an official of ACC revealed that investigations have been launched into eight cases related to the elections.

The ACC official revealed that most of the complaints filed at the commission pertaining to the elections were related to the issue of campaigning using state resources.

The official noted that apart from this issue, issues related to offering bribes during campaigns, cases of alleged campaigning in a manner that infringes on the rights of the contesting candidates have also been filed.

ACC has urged the public to come forward and file cases linked to corruption related to the polls, if noticed.

The commission has urged to submit complaints related to the polls, through the specialportalopened for the purpose.
