A man has been arrested and remanded for threatening two judges.

Arrested and remanded in connection with the case is a 32-year-old Maldivian man.

The Criminal Court order states that the man has been remanded for five days, at a custodial prison.

According to the reason for his detention, enough evidence had been submitted to show that he had committed the alleged crime he is accused of, and a police incident report was also submitted.

The court order states that the man is accused of threatening two judges.

He is also to have threatened the police officer that attended the scene at the time.

The court order goes on to state that the man has a previous criminal record.
