An accident has occurred between a launch and a dinghy at sea near Madivaru Airport in Faafu atoll.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the accident was reported to them at around 08:26pm on Tuesday.
Following the collision, three individuals who were inside the dinghy at the time of the crash are presently receiving treatment at the Faafu Atoll Hospital. The dinghy involved in the accident has been lost after the incident.
The police institution highlighted that it is believed to have sunk. They also mentioned that efforts to locate the dinghy so far have been unsuccessful.
Further investigations are currently underway in connection with the accident.
