A woman has been summoned for questioning in connection with an ongoing probe.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) publicized the summons on Thursday. The summons was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate her and handover her summons notice has been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track her down.
The police institution revealed that the case is being investigated by the Hulhumalé Phase I Investigation desk.
MPS noted that the woman is being sought for police interrogation regarding a case linked to fraud.
The summons was publicized in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police when investigating criminal cases.
Summoned is Mariyam Ibthishaam, 27 and registered in capital Malé City.
She is to present herself to the Hulhumalé Phase I Police Station, at 10am on March 1.
