Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a manhunt for an individual wanted for police interrogation in connection with an ongoing probe.
The police institution revealed that the case is being investigated by their Drug Enforcement’s Drug Trafficking Investigation Department.
In a publication made on Thursday, MPS noted that the man is being sought for police interrogation regarding a case being investigated presently.
The manhunt was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate him and handover his summons notice has been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track him down.
The summons was publicized in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police when investigating criminal cases.
Summoned is Mohamed Akram Abdul Hannan, 34 and native to Hoandedhdhoo island of Gaaf Dhaal atoll.
He is to present himself to the Sergeant Adam Haleem Investigation Building, at 2pm on February 29.
