Supreme Court Justice Husnu Al Suood has been appointed as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu made the appointment on Thursday.
The ceremony was held at the President's Office on Thursday afternoon.
The Supreme Court Justice was presented with his letter of appointment by President Muizzu.
Suood signed his appointment letter upon being sworn in.
The appointment was made in accordance with Article 158(b) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives and Article 3(2) of the Judicial Service Commission Act.
Supreme Court Justice Ali Rasheed Hussain administered Suood’s oath of office.
