Terrorism charges have been raised against Vilingili Constituency MP Saud Hussain and Ibrahim Haneef, a former deputy minister at the Ministry of Education for conspiring to murder High Court Judge Shujau Usman.
Prosecutor General (PG) Office had confirmed that charges had been raised against the two.
MP Saud had been summoned to Police twice from June onwards for investigation into the case. Haneef was detained in connection to the investigation.
Shujau, Haneef and Saud are all native to Vilingili Island in Gaaf Alif Atoll.
RaajjeMV understands that the proof against Haneef are, an audio clip in which two individuals are heard speaking in Addu dialect and the statement of a government aligned coordinator.
Saud is currently under Police arrest, for breaking Police ranks outside of Parliament grounds on July 24th. Elections Commission had stripped the Parliamentarian from his seat on the 19th of July.
MP Saud had filed case in Supreme Court, which has been accepted by the Court.
