President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to implement all of the development activities envisioned for Dhiyamigili island of Thaa atoll.
He made this pledge during a meeting held with the island community on Tuesday, as part of his ongoing three-day tour of Thaa atoll.
Taking the podium at the meeting, Muizzu assured that all of the halted and proposed projects for the island would resume and take off.
Citing the current economic status of the island nation, the president urged the island community to cooperate with the relevant state institutions to prioritize their development needs in order of significance.
He noted that most of the development projects would be commenced within 2024.
Similarly, the president announced that the causeway project on the island would also be completed soon.
Adding that his administration has fulfilled its pledges for the ongoing week nine of their ‘Hafthaa 14’ roadmap, Muizzu stated that they would continue to complete all pledges as per the schedule.
