President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has sent felicitations on the occasion of Australia Day.
Muizzu on Friday sent separate messages of felicitations to General David John Hurley, the Governor-General, and Anthony Albanese MP, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia in celebration of Australia Day.
The Maldivian leader conveyed warm greetings and good wishes to the people and government of Australia on behalf of the government and people of Maldives.
Expressing appreciation of the unwavering support the government of Australia has extended to the Maldivian government over the past five decades, Muizzu expressed hope to see the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Australia.
2024 marks the golden jubilee of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Australia.
