Pres. announces progress in land and flat registration and handover processes

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that efforts are underway to register and transfer ownership rights for land plots and flats, as per the final list of recipients published in the government gazette, with steady progress.
He made the announcement via a social media post.
The President disclosed that the Ministry of Housing, Land, and Urban Development is actively working to register and transfer the land plots and flats to the rightful recipients as listed in the government gazette. The registration process is expected to be completed the following week.
The President further noted that some of the land plots originate from areas requiring reclamation and assured that the Administration is committed to expediting the reclamation efforts.
President Dr. Muizzu also restated the government's plan to reclaim additional land areas from Gulhi Falhu and Giraavaru Falhu. President Dr. Muizzu reaffirmed the Administration's commitment to deliver on all its pledges.
