President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has urged the public to grasp onto fresh aspirations and exciting advancements as we move in to the New Year.
The President stated this in his message to the nation on the occasion of the New Year 2024.
In his message, President Muizzu emphasized on the importance of stability and understanding for development.
He advocated for the New Year to be centered on honesty and the pursuit of integrity in the information consumed.
Highlighting that Maldivians have made significant decisions in the past year, the President noted that the people of the Maldives have decided that they should experience development, prosperity, and growth aligned with the rest of the world and that they do not want any foreign military presence in their nation. He underlined that the Maldives has chosen to build future generations devoted to Islam and dedicated to the nation to accomplish this.
The President further noted that the Maldives has elected a new government and entrusted it with the task of realizing the decisions made by Maldivians.
President Dr. Muizzu stated that the final few weeks of the previous year and the first few weeks of the current year will see the current Administration fully fulfilling the commitments outlined in the "Hafuthaa 14" roadmap.
