The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has rescued a man aboard a vessel that was reported missing after it departed from Maafushi island of Kaafu atoll.
The vessel’s disappearance was reported to the police at around 15:03 on Friday. The MNDF had dispatched a speed boat from its Rescue Coordination Center along with another ship and its ‘Fast Interception Craft’.
The 54-year-old along with the vessel were located at around 16:59 by said ‘Fast Interception Craft’.
