Najah wins RaajjeTV’s ‘Staff of the Year’, Alaau awarded Most Promising Employee award

RaajjeTV Staff of the year 2023

RaajjeTV has held its annual ‘Staff Awards’ to honor employees who showed exemplary performance in several departments throughout the year.

The ‘RaajjeTV Staff Awards 2023’ ceremony was aired on Wednesday night. The television station celebrates its anniversary on December 15 every year since its establishment in 2010.

Former CEO of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and Malé City Council Mayoral Candidate Adam Azim attended as chief guest at the event.

Alongside senior management, staff as well as employees who won awards, the ceremony, held at the station’s studio was attended by several guests including renowned film director Ravee Farooq, Dr. Abdulla Jameel, famous writer Mohamed Gasim, National Archive Director General Mohamed Amir, CEO of SS Media and a renowned figure in media Mohamed Asif among others.

Assistant IT Officer Najah Ahmed won the most honorable title, Staff of the Year at the awards, and On-Air Operator Mohamed Alaau was awarded the Most Promising Employee of the year.

The station's Assistant IT Officer was up against Senior Video Journalist Laisa Ahmed, News Coordinator Aminath Baariza and Senior On-Air Technician Aminath Mohamed for the Staff of the Year award this year.

Najah won the staff vote with 13 votes in his favour. Aminath Mohamed won six votes and Baariza and Laisa received four votes each.

The station awarded a cash prize of MVR 30,000 as well as a bedroom set to Najah as the Staff of the Year.

Alongside these prestigious awards, 17 other employees won awards at the ceremony in multiple categories.

Further, nine employees were recognized for punctuality and awarded ‘Attendance Gold Awards’; Najah, Chief Cameraman Mohamed Anil, Assistant Chief Cameraman Adam Zareer, Senior On-Air Technician Aminath, News Coordinator Baariza, Senior Video Journalist Laisa, Quality Controller Ilyas Abdulla, Head of Programmes and Coordination Amir Saleem and Inventory Officer Gamarudeen Fahmy.

RaajjeTV also honored long service employees including Zunana Zalif who has been with the station for 10 years and employees who have completed five years of service at the station including Aminath Baariza and On-Air Operator Aishath Roona Shiyam.

RaajjeTV has been in operation for 13 years and every year, an award ceremony is held to celebrate its hard-working employees on the occasion of its anniversary.
