Operation conducted in Addu City Feydhoo against alcohol
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has conducted an operation in Addu City Feydhoo district, upon receiving an intel report of alcohol brewery attempts by a group of individuals.
Officers confiscated six containers and two 500ml bottles filled with suspected alcohol and equipment as well as materials used to brew alcohol during the operation.
The operation was conducted at around 01:18am on December 4.
Everything seized by officers in the raid was found inside a hut in a house in Feydhoo.
Addu City police station is conducting further investigations in connection with the case.
