BML donates MVR 50,000 to local NGO at 'Staff Charity Run 2023'
The country’s national bank has financially supported MAPD’s key programs since 2018
Bank of Maldives hold Staff Charity Run 2023
Bank of Maldives (BML) has made a donation of MVR 50,000 to a local non-profit organization, during its ‘Staff Charity Run 2023’ event.
The country’s national bank hosted its annual ‘Staff Charity Run’ on Sunday.
Funds were raised to support a charitable organization at the event, which saw more than 100 employees and their children participating.
The run was held in Hulhumalé and more than 40 employees from atoll-based branches held the run in their respective islands.
After the run concluded, the donation was presented to the Maldives Association for Persons with Disabilities (MAPD) to support the PWD Health Camp programs organized by MAPD.
The country’s national bank has financially supported MAPD’s key programs since 2018.
Held annually since 2017, the ‘Staff Charity Run’ was not held during 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak. However, it was held during 2021 as well, where a donation of MVR 80,000 was made to the Maldives Deaf Association and Beautiful Eyes Down Syndrome Association to support programs organized by the NGOs.
BML conducts regular events to support community initiatives.
