Bank of Maldives (BML) has added local gift vouchers and miles exchange to redemption options available on their exclusive loyalty program for credit card customers, ‘BML Rewards’.

The country’s national bank issued a press release on Sunday, revealing that they have added local gift vouchers and miles exchange to the redemption options available on their exclusive loyalty program for its credit card customers.

As such, BML highlighted that alongside hotels, flights and gift cards, BML Rewards customers will be able to exchange Rewards Points for airline frequent flyer miles on multiple airlines including Qatar Airways, Air Asia and Srilankan Airlines as well as vouchers from local retailers including Mango, Adidas, Miniso, Thai Wok, Cocoa Trees, Hameedia and Sonee Sports from Sunday onwards.

CEO and Managing Director of BML Karl Stumke expressed delight to add the new redemption options to BML Rewards program, which will in turn offer customers even greater choice when redeeming their earned points.

Stumke noted that BML’s loyalty program continues to be the biggest of its kind in the country, with redemption options that range from flights and hotels to gift cards and now, even airline miles.

The bank revealed that Personal Banking customers with American Express, Visa and Mastercard credit cards are eligible to register for the BML Rewards program.

Upon completing the registration process, customers will be able to earn points for purchases on credit cards that can be redeemed for a range of benefits at airlines, hotels, car rentals and multiple gift cards from leading brands including Amazon, Google Play, Apple and more in addition to the new local brands added.
