President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed members to top government positions.
The ceremony to present the letters of appointment was held at the President’s Office, on Sunday.
The Minister-level appointments and recipients of letters of appointment are;
- Minister at the Presidential Palace – Iqbal Adam
- Ambassador-at-large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Mohamed Hussain Shareef
The appointments to the University governance board include;
- Chancellor at the Maldives National University (MNU) – Dr. Mahmood Shaugy
- Vice Chancellor at the Maldives National University (MNU) – Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam
- Vice Chancellor at the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) – Dr. Ali Zahir
The appointments made at the State Minister-level are;
- Chief of Staff at the Vice President's Residence – Mohamed Waheed Hassan
- Head of the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) , Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology – Dr. Mohamed Kinaanath
- Controller General of Immigration – Mohamed Sham’aan Waheed
