Thulusdhoo Constituency MP Mohamed Waheed Ibrahim has been taken to Dhoonidhoo island following his arrest on Monday.
The MP was arrested under a Court order from near Kunooz area. The area had been closed off from 8.30 pm onward.
RaajjeMV understands that warrants have been obtained for arrest of more MPs.
MP Waheed was detained earlier on Monday as well. He was taken into Police custody from near the Parliament premises. Police said that MP Waheed was detained as he had no legal standing to be inside Parliament premises, as he had lost his Parliament seat.
Police is already investigating several MPs for obstruction of justice.
